The Jacquemus brand takes its name from its founder, Simon born in 1990 in Salon de Provence, in the south of France, and raised in a village called Bramejean. At the age of 18, Simon moved to Paris to study at a fashion school which he left the following month after losing his mother. In 2009, at the age of 19, Simon launched the JACQUEMUS brand in homage to his mother's maiden name. In 2015 he won the LVMH Special Prize. In May 2017 he presented his collection "Les Santons de Provence" for the second time as part of the "Marseille, je t'aime" event and three other exhibitions in Marseille. He also celebrated the launch of his book, in collaboration with 13 artists, to pay homage to Marseille and the south of France. Simon draws inspiration from his native Provence and the Mediterranean region. The JACQUEMUS woman is inspired by the women in her life. Each collection tells a story and is a reference to his memories. His catwalks are imbued with poetry, provoking an emotion that goes beyond the clothes.
